Project Concept

Overview

The homeowners desired a kitchen with a traditional cottage-style aesthetic while ensuring it remained highly functional for contemporary living. A key challenge was expanding the space and creating a fluid transition to the terrace. German Kitchen Design tackled this by carefully selecting high-quality materials, optimizing the layout, and incorporating modern lighting solutions to enhance the farmhouse ambiance.

The slate grey cabinetry lends a refined yet cozy touch, complemented by Silestone Ethereal Dusk quartz worktops and backsplashes that add much needed contrast. Featuring EMOTICON LED lights for customizable ambiance, the kitchen blends old-world charm with modern practicality.

Fronts The CASCADA in stone grey and shaker-style design brings a classic farmhouse appeal with a soft stone-grey finish, offering both durability and a timeless aesthetic. Their panel detailing and elegant hardware add a refined, handcrafted feel.

Worktop & Backsplash This Silestone Ethereal Dusk Quartz, 12mm & 40mm edge worktop features delicate veining that mimics natural marble, adding depth and elegance while maintaining high durability and ease of maintenance. The thick 40mm edge detail enhances the work surface’s substantial, traditional look.

A worktop of the same material as the backsplash seamlessly blends up into the walls of the kitchen, creating a cohesive and polished design. The quartz surface offers a sleek, easy-to-clean finish while preserving the kitchen’s farmhouse charm.

“We had an ambitious plan involving the expansion of the kitchen and the linking of our kitchen to a terrace via a new doorway. German Kitchen Design was able to closely cooperate with the architect and builders so that the construction on both sides went off without any hitches. We were pleased that German Kitchen Design had good product options, which enabled us to achieve an older farmhouse feel in the kitchen. The after-care service has also been very good too.”
